This touching memorial exudes the love of life and music that marked the life of this wonderful young woman. To capture her essence, I used a unique combination of urethane-coated bronze and palladium leafing. Standing atop a ridge in the heart of Kentucky's beautiful bluegrass region, she seems at one with the wind and sky.

This larger-than-life black panther was a site-specific piece for this garden pond. The treatment chosen was a blend I can best describe as “stylistic realism”. I felt the power and sinuous movement of this animal would be lost by using too realistic a style. All the muscles and planes were stylized and smoothed to help accentuate the “flow” of this cat.

This interesting still life was commissioned by a large church in Louisville. This piece is included because it shows my ability with detail and textures. A large effort was put into the research for this piece so as to ensure that the portrayal was correct for the period.

These two beloved dogs were commissioned by a veterinarian’s wife for her husband’s birthday. An interesting story of persistence is involved with this piece. I sent my original clay sculpture to the mold-maker only to get a call saying their dogs had intercepted the delivery and destroyed my piece! With only a month left before the presentation, I stayed up nights and re-sculpted the piece to have it done on time. Extremely frustrating to say the least, but certainly character building!
